SWISS Launches Senses Cabin: A New Vision for First Class Travel
Swiss International Air Lines will introduce SWISS Senses First Class in late 2025 on the Airbus A350-900, raising the bar for luxury travel. This exclusive new cabin concept combines cutting-edge comfort with personalised privacy and Swiss discretion to provide a haven in the sky.
SWISS Senses takes its inspiration from nature, using natural materials alongside innovative design for total well-being on board. It’s not just getting from A to B, but enjoying every minute of your journey in a whole new way.
If you loved Air France’s La Première or Lufthansa’s Allegra business class cabins, this is different. Think national serenity meets attention to detail at every sensory turn.
Below we outline everything there is known so far about SWISS’ forthcoming interpretation of First Class as we know it today!
Airport Experience

The luxury experience of SWISS Senses starts well before you board your plane. When flying First Class from Zurich Airport, you’ll feel like you’re in a private jet terminal – not a commercial one. From the moment you arrive, there are special check-in counters, fast-tracked security: no waiting or queuing here.
Then there’s the SWISS First Class Lounge – a place so special, it would be a shame to rush your visit. Whether you’re after some peace and quiet, great food and drink (all freshly prepared to order), a comfortable chair to relax in, or even a private office, this lounge has it all.

In selected locations, there are also day rooms with hotel-style beds: perfect if the next stop on your journey is a long-haul flight. Some lounges even have showers so you can freshen up before boarding.
If you are flying out of Zurich or making connections at other big airports, SWISS makes sure that the service you receive on the ground matches the exclusivity and attention to detail that you find onboard.
Moving from lounge to aircraft is also smooth: staff provide everything from help with boarding to one-on-one guidance, all of which helps things feel easy as pie – even when they’re not!
First Class Suites

The best part of having a SWISS Senses experience is the Airbus A350-900’s new suite layout. There are only three First Class seats on each plane – and one set of these is a couple’s center suite. So it’s totally private and exclusive.

All individual suites have walls that go all the way up to the ceiling: close them and you’re in a world of your own. The center double suite also has this top-to-bottom wall, making it perfect for people journeying together who want to be alone, but with flexible layout options too.

In the suite, you will find:
- Seat heating and cooling so you can get comfy
- An extra-wide, fully flat bed (2.0m x 0.86m) with top-quality bedding – and a calming design
- Ottoman, which moves and can double as a seat for dining or an extra chair when friends come round
- Elegant solid-wood dining table plus separate cocktail table: perfect for setting up meals beautifully
- Entertainment system complete with a 32-inch 4K OLED screen (that’s Ultra High Definition)
- Floor-level storage for your bags plus a personal wardrobe
- Ambient lighting and wireless charging points

You’ll also notice how nice everything feels – we’ve used premium materials like soft leather along with natural wood accents. This is a place crafted to make you feel good!
Cabin Layout and Future Deployment

The SWISS Senses First Class cabin will debut on the Airbus A350-900, with only three suites per plane (two singles and one double).
The schedule comprises:
- Starting with the A350-900 in late 2025
- Winter 2025-26 for the A330-300 refits
- From late 2026, Boeing 777-300ER upgrades
By 2028, SWISS wants all its long-haul aircraft to have this top product – its biggest investment ever.
In-Flight Comfort and Well-Being

All aspects of the cabin are designed to provide both physical and emotional well-being. For example, the lighting system changes in line with the time of day. This not only helps reduce tiredness or “jet lag” but also boosts your energy levels when you arrive at your destination.
Sleep is important too – which is why we give you a comfy duvet and soft pillow when it’s time to relax. And should you wish to have forty winks (or more), noise reduction features plus gentle lighting make nodding off a lot easier.
One thing that sets this service apart from others is our special Swiss cocktail: SWISS Alpine Essence. Whether selected to accompany dinner or just for a pre-meal drink, the award-winning beverage takes its inspiration from the country’s mountain regions -providing passengers with a taste of sophistication as they travel at 35,000 feet.
Fine Dining

The food available in SWISS Senses First Class shows how the airline has always served excellent European meals. They create seasonal menus made with local ingredients, which they cook beautifully.
All meals are an event because they take classic Swiss dishes and add a global twist. Dishes might include:
- Saffron risotto with fish from a Swiss lake that’s been fried quickly so the skin is crispy
- Veal Zurich-style (that means it’s cooked in a creamy white wine sauce) with Rösti
- Polenta Alpine-style (with parmesan cheese melted into it) plus truffle oil for richness
Food is brought to your table on elegant plates, while wines have been picked from all over Switzerland, such as collections of Grand Cru and Champagne houses.
In-Flight Entertainment

Each suite boasts SWISS’s biggest ever 32-inch 4K OLED TV screen – complete with Bluetooth so you can pair your own headphones or use the top-of-the-range noise-cancelling set provided.
There’s also a tablet offering a user-friendly interface through which you can adjust everything from light settings and seat position to entertainment options. Stay connected and juiced up at all times thanks to USB-A, USB-C, and 220V power outlets.
Kick back and focus on relaxation thanks to an extensive entertainment library that includes global cinema releases, live TV, audio channels, and well-being content such as guided meditation sessions and breathing exercises.
Amenity Kit

The latest amenity kits from SWISS Senses have been created in partnership with the prestigious luxury brand Zimmerli – a Swiss label renowned for craftsmanship as well as fabulous fabrics. These are no ordinary washbags. Each one is a collectable item featuring a design that changes regularly and takes its cue from Swiss design principles.
Every pouch contains:
- Skincare essentials by Sisley Paris, a name you can trust when it comes to high-end beauty products
- A silk eye mask plus earplugs
- A wooden comb and toothbrush (both with biodegradable handles)
- Cosy in-flight socks along with slippers
All items have been chosen with sustainability in mind so as to fit in with wider environmental commitments. These might include using recyclable materials or selecting brands known for their eco-friendly ethos.
Bottom Line
SWISS Senses represents not just top-quality service, but a whole way of thinking about travel: blending Swiss efficiency with a warm welcome and style to create flights so peaceful you could almost be in Switzerland.
As more and more planes get these First Class suites, flying like the super-rich looks set to become very Swiss, which is to say calm, on time, and outrageously chic.
And here’s some good news if affordability has been an obstacle – Simply Business Class has access to discounts (up to 50% off) that can make your fantasy of traveling in a state-of-the-art, peaceful first-class cabin much less of a strain on your finances.
