- A321T: American Airlines utilizes specially configured A321 T for premium transcontinental routes known as “A321T.” First class on these planes consists of five rows with 1-1 seating, ensuring that all seats have both window and aisle access. Couples traveling together can sit across the aisle from each other or in front of the other.
- 737: American Airlines recently completed the “Project Oasis” retrofit on all 737 aircraft to enhance the onboard experience. The first-class section now includes four rows of recliner seats similar to premium economy. Inflight entertainment screens have been removed, so passengers should bring their own tablets for streaming entertainment. However, all seats provide power outlets, and the overhead bins are larger. High-speed Wi-Fi is available for purchase.
- A321: The A321 is a prominent American Airlines’ domestic fleet aircraft. The ongoing retrofit will equip all A321 planes with five rows of 2-2 seating. Similar to the 737, there won’t be inflight entertainment screens. However, power outlets and larger overhead bins are being added to improve the outdated A321 experience.
