Fortunately for all vaccinated Americans, Greece is one of the countries that will welcome you with open arms. This year, there are 3 new routes offered by three different airlines. Each of them is to Athens.

New York (JFK) to Athens (ATH) on American

The airlines decided to offer new routes to the Americans in the summer, as interest in Greece has grown significantly in recent years. In this regard, American Airlines provides flights from New York to Athens.

These flights are performed every day. The bad news is that they were until October, but we are sure that they will be resumed as early as next summer.

Washington D.C. (IAD) to Athens (ATH) on United

Another route to Athens, but this time is starting from Washington. The flights are offered by United Airlines. They are also seasonal, and the flights were until the beginning of October. That is not a surprise for us, as Greece is a summer destination.

Atlanta (ATL) to Athens (ATH) on Delta

In July, Delta Airlines started a new daily nonstop service from its largest hub in Atlanta to Athens. The flight lasts about 12 hours and 15 minutes. This flight is more than excellent as it allows connections from over 140 cities across the U.S.

Iceland

Iceland is a slightly different destination, but it also has its charm. It is undoubtedly a country that you must visit for many various reasons.

The most fantastic among them are:

  • A sun that never sets in summer – you can observe another fantastic phenomenon in this part of the world. From May to the end of July, the sun barely sets at midnight and rises again at 3 am. And on June 21, when the summer solstice, the sun is on full display.
